Our 10m x 5m outdoor heated swimming pool is nestled within a quiet walled garden on our family farm, just outside Ross-on-Wye. With a shallow end of approximately 95cm and a deep end of 2.5m, it features a beautiful Roman end for safe and easy entry. The water is kept between 27 and 31 degrees Celsius and is tested daily to ensure a clean and safe swimming experience.

Whether you’re planning a peaceful family swim, a children’s pool party, or regular swimming lessons, you’ll enjoy total privacy and exclusive use of the pool and facilities during your booking.

What to know before you swim

  1. Arrive clean and swim-ready (no showers on site).
  2. Wear shoes and a cover-up if using the loo/changing room (a short walk across the yard).
  3. No glass, alcohol, or smoking is allowed on-site.
  4. Follow our Pool Rules to keep everyone safe and happy.

You’ll find toys in the pool room for your use. Please return them where you found them after swimming.

Children’s pool parties and longer term hire

Penyard Pool is available for children’s parties, half and full day hires, and long term block hires for instuctors.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes – if you give at least 72 hours’ notice, we’ll refund your booking (minus admin and Stripe fees). We are unable to offer refunds with less than 72 hours’ notice.

No. The pool is unsupervised and used at your own risk. Children must be supervised at all times and the correct adult-to-child ratios followed.

You’re welcome to bring non-alcoholic drinks in plastic bottles or cans. Glass and alcohol are not permitted anywhere on site.

Yes, we provide some pool toys. Inflatables are not allowed, but feel free to use what’s available and return it after use.

Yes, but you’ll need to contact us directly to discuss a larger booking. The standard online booking form is for up to 5 swimmers.

Bring your swimwear, towels, a well-charged phone, and footwear for walking across the yard to the toilet or changing room. Please take all rubbish home with you.
